After Apex: The Dor Brothers Create a $300M AI Film in Just 7 Days

Is artificial intelligence rendering Hollywood studios obsolete? Following the success of their experimental short film
Apex, The Dor Brothers are pushing boundaries again with a stunning new project, claiming to have generated a film with a theoretical production value of $300 million without a single day of traditional filming.

After Apex: The Dor Brothers Create a $300M AI-Generated Film

Just days earlier, the duo had already made headlines with
Apex, a fully AI-generated Short film reportedly created in 24 hours and estimated to have a perceived production value of $200 million.

A Technical Achievement at the Center of the Debate

On

X (formerly Twitter)
, the Berlin-based studio shared a teaser of their latest project: a nearly 15-minute AI-generated film starring influencer and former wrestler Logan Paul.

Their statement was bold:
“We made a $300,000,000 movie starring @LoganPaul with AI in less than 7 days. Yes, this is 100% AI.”

Immersion: At the Heart of the Film

The result is a striking visual experience that plunges the viewer into a dystopian universe, heavily inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics and the moody atmosphere of Blade Runner.

  • Character Realism: Logan Paul is the central figure. The precision with which the AI reproduces his features and expressions highlights the rapid advancements in image synthesis tools.
  • Spectacular Staging: The film features complex sequences, including high-speed motorcycle chases, dynamic combat, and neon-drenched futuristic urban landscapes.
  • Zero Traditional Filming: No physical set was used, no stunt performers were hired, and no human film crew was deployed. Every frame, lighting choice, and camera movement is the exclusive result of generative algorithms.

Why the $300 Million Figure?

It is essential to understand that this $300 million does not represent the actual costs incurred by The Dor Brothers. This amount is a
theoretical estimate. It reflects what such a production would have cost if realized through traditional Hollywood methods—including A-list star salaries, set construction, thousands of hours of post-production, and massive technical crews.

This figure serves as a symbol of disruption: it illustrates how AI can condense work that would typically take months and colossal budgets into a single week.

Hollywood Under Pressure: Between Fascination and Concern

This project is polarizing the film industry:

  • The Optimists: For tech enthusiasts, we are witnessing the democratization of cinema. The financial barriers that previously prevented independent creators from making high-budget spectacle films are crumbling.
  • The Union Concern: Professional organizations, such as SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild, are raising alarms. AI poses a direct threat to human jobs, from background acting to visual effects positions.
  • The Philosophical Debate: The question of the “soul” of cinema is back at the forefront. If AI can reproduce the image, can it infuse the emotion, narrative depth, and actor direction that make a work of art unique?

Towards a New Cinematic Era?

Beyond the technical achievement, this project raises major legal questions, particularly regarding the image rights of celebrities. Can one use the likeness of a star like Logan Paul without formal consent in an AI-generated work?

One thing is certain: the cinema industry is on the verge of an irreversible transformation. If AI becomes capable of turning any script into an instant blockbuster, value will no longer reside solely in technical production, but more than ever in the originality of the idea.
